I DO NOT CHOOSE TO BE A COMMON MAN - A NEW VISION

It is my right to be uncommon, if i can. I seek opportunity, not security. i do not wish to be kept a citizen, humbled and by having the state look after me. I want to take the calculated risks to dream and to build, to fail and to succeed. I refuse to barter incentives for a dole and I prefer the challenges of life to the guaranteed existance! The thrill of fullfillment to the stale calm of utopia. I will not trade freedom for beneficence nor my dignity for a handout. I will never cover before any master nor bend to any threat. It is my heritage to stand erect, proud and unafraid, to think and act for myself, enjoy the benefits of my creations and to face the world bold and say.. THIS, I HAVE DONE

A VERY OLD FRIEND

The last time I saw Adeline was 13 years ago. We went to the same primary and secondary school until we were 14 and she left for Australia. I always remember her as someone who's very soft-spoken and very gentle; she still is. She's in Southport now with fiance, Mostyn Yong, supposed to be an old friend too, but we just never talked to each other despite, as I remembered, being involved in many activities together back in school years.

Went to Southport, 45 minutes from Liverpool last weekend. Had a F A B U L O U S time touring Liverpool (the Mostyn Grand Liverpool Tour) on Saturday and Southport on Sunday. It's so nice to catch up with a very old friend. Found out she loves to bake and she's actually very very good at it. Showed A Ann (very good baker herself) and she commented, Ade's cakes can rival Harrods.

Before I came to England, I was in Kuching and was reading old letters and cards and found one from Adeline. That time itself, I thought of her and when I had the chance to meet up with her, I didn't think twice.

Adeline will be going back to Brisbane mid-July. She'll be down in London early July but I'll be in Portland with the boys.

To my old friend; wishing you all good things and
my heartiest congratulations to both you & Mostyn.
